A Decade of Dressie Jessie Smocking!

10 years of Dressie Jessie Smocking. A whole decade. I can barely believe it.

This morning at Church, our preacher mentioned that he just celebrated his birthday and as he reflected over the past 64 years, there were ups and downs, highs and lows, but the good far outweighed the bad. His words resonate with me. Over the past 10 years there have been some really bad times (hello, having your manufacturer close mid-production due to a worldwide pandemic), but there have been far more good times. One of those good times just happened yesterday. A friend sent me this picture....

This is the precious wife and daughter of one of my son's best friends. They're heading to the rodeo in Texas. Y'all, my son and his friend were 15 when Dressie Jessie began. A lot can change in 10 years! 

Speaking of change, 10 years ago my children were 9, 12, 15 and 16. This is a recent picture of us at my youngest son's graduation from James Madison University. (Go Dukes!).

I simply cannot celebrate 10 years without thanking my wonderful family. Those hard times I mentioned...They encouraged me through them. The happy times....they cheered louder than anyone. I couldn't do any of this without them.
