Celebrating 4 Years, and a Giveaway!

Four years... Oh my, it really is hard for me to believe. I can remember my first sale like it was yesterday. It was back in 2015 before I even had a website and was just selling items through Facebook and Instagram. I remember posting a few items and hoping for customers. My friends and family were trying to help me spread the word, and my brother-in-law's aunt purchased a smocked caterpillar bubble for her granddaughter. I was thrilled! 

Want to know a little secret? Four years in and I still get excited with each and every sale. You know when Small Business Saturday rolls around and lots of little signs and sayings pop up promoting shopping small? They speak truth - they really do. 

When I sold that first smocked bubble, I remember inspecting it carefully and packaging it with such care. Do you want to know another secret? We still do just that. Every single item is hand-inspected prior to shipping. We take great care to make sure your items will meet or exceed your expectations. 

Since my one customer has grown into thousands of customers (so incredibly grateful), it takes a team to keep Dressie Jessie Smocking running smoothly. I am blessed by these wonderful people. Let me introduce you...

Starting at the top left and ending with the bottom right...

• Meet Allyson! Mom of 3 and grandma to 3. (Yes, I know, she looks way too young to be a grandma!). Allyson helps with order fulfillment (inspecting, shipping, etc).
• Meet Laura! Mom of 4 and our newest team member. She's jumped right in helping with order fulfillment and is doing great.
• Meet Katie! Mom of 2. Katie also helps with fulfillment and is a valuable member of our team.
• Meet Becky! Mom of 3 and grandma to 8. Becky is our bookkeeper, and I would be lost without her. (She also happens to be my mom. She attempted retirement, but I had other plans for her, and thankfully she was willing!).
• Meet Lindsay! Mom of 2 and full-time fundraiser for a local nonprofit. Lindsay sends all of our emails and does a lot of our website work. (She's my sister....clearly I've roped my family into this business!)
• Meet Brittany! Brittany has been with me since almost the very beginning. In the early days, she would sit at my dining room table and inspect clothes. Brittany knows every detail of how to run Dressie Jessie Smocking and sometimes I catch myself asking her how to do something! Brittany is now in nursing school and has so many amazing opportunities awaiting her. We are all going to miss you, Brittany, especially me!

Two more important people to show you...

• On the left is Dawnee. She is the head of our monogramming. It's because of her that we have the fastest monogramming processing time of anywhere. We truly do, and Dawnee deserves every bit of the credit. 
• On the right is Taylor, pictured with his wife, Mallory, and their adorable boys. Taylor is our photographer and is the most patient person I know. Photo shoots have a lot of moving parts (and by "parts," I mean children...haha!) He never frazzles and does an amazing job for us. 

I cannot close without stopping to thank you, my amazing customers, for your continued patronage and support. You are the heart of Dressie Jessie Smocking. We probably won't ever be the "biggest," but you inspire me to make this company the absolute best it can possibly be.
