Christmas is Coming & A Giveaway!

November 06, 2017 30 Comments

Christmas is exactly 7 weeks from today! I know many of you have Christmas pictures scheduled, Santa visits planned, Christmas parties to attend, and many other holiday events on your calendars. With that in mind, I want to update you on the expected ship dates of our Christmas Pre-Orders.

Our Christmas Angel Dress and our And To All A Good Night collection will be the next to ship. I anticipate them heading to you on Thursday, November 9th. Then, our Woodland collection should ship on Friday, November 10th and Monday, November 13th. (Side note--just this past weekend the dress sold out in size 8. The longall and shirt are also sold out in multiple sizes. Don't wait if this collection is on your wishlist).

Next up is our Santa Loungewear including the matching doll sets. WOW! It may take us 3 months to ship all of these to you. Just Kidding! My team is the best (truly, y'all--I am so blessed). Shipping these will be a major undertaking, but I anticipate having all orders shipped by November 15th. :)

Rounding out our Christmas Pre-Orders are the following collections: Smocked Nativity, Country Christmas, Green Gingham, Red Knit Loungewear, and Smocked Milk and Cookies. I don't have exact ship dates for these collections, but they are due to ship to us this week, and I anticipate ALL orders shipping by Tuesday, November 21.

Are you still with me? I know that was a lot! Before moving on to the giveaway, let me add there are lots of IN STOCK Christmas collections as well. Smocked Santa, Smocked Nutcracker, and Gingham Tree to name a few. All of these will ship immediately.

Now for the Giveaway! It's VERY simple to enter. Just leave a comment sharing about one of your favorite holiday traditions. I'll go first. Every Christmas Eve we throw a party for my husband's side of the family. While the actual party is always fun, preparing for it with my husband and children is my favorite. The tradition of cooking together, pulling out our special Christmas dishes, listening to Christmas music...I just love it. Is it messy? Yes. Is it a ton of work? Yes. Does it bring me unmeasurable joy? Yes, Yes, Yes!  :) My Smocked Milk and Cookies collection was actually inspired by this holiday favorite of mine.

I look just like this sweet boy when someone hands me a cookie! ;)

Now it's your turn! What is one of your favorite holiday traditions? Leave a comment, and you'll be entered into a giveaway for a $20 shop credit! Winner will be announced here on Friday, November 10th.

Thanks for stopping by!

XO, Jessie

UPDATE: Congratulations to Molly Aguirre! I used a random number generator, and you are the winner of the $20 shop credit! Look for an email this weekend. :)

Thank you to everyone who took the time to leave a comment. I have loved reading about your special traditions. What a wonderful time of the year!

My favorite tradition when I was growing up was going to go and cut down our Christmas tree as a family. My entire family would get our winter coats, snow pants, hats and mittens on (I grew up in Buffalo, New York) and go to Donaldson’s Tree Farm to find the perfect tree. Of course we all had our choices and would argue over which one was the best. My dad and brother would cut down the tree once we all were able to agree on one. We did this every year together (even when my siblings and I were in our 20s). Now, my husband and I continue this tradition with our daughter and my parents here Virginia…there is a lot less snow but the magic of Christmas is still present.

My family tradition growing up as the eldest of 6 siblings was watching Rudolph and A Chsritmas Storiy. We can all recite all the words to those classics! Now that I have my only family with our little 2 year old I have been collecting all the Rudolph outdoor character lights for the yard so may daughter can be just as excited as we were growing up with Rudolph , Hermie, and Bumble this year and many years to come. I can’t wait until they shine bright in our yard for her and all the other kids and families to enjoy this holiday season!!! Thanks for all the fabulous dresses for Maisie I can’t wsit for her to wear them all to church and to see Sanata this year. Have a fabulous holiday and o hope everyone keeps their traditions going! Happy Holidays and God Bless!!!! Harmony McCulley

Every Christmas Eve, we go to church for our candlight service. Then we put on our Christmas pajamas and pick a favorite Christmas movie to watch. We pop popcorn and have hot chocolate. Although, sometimes it ends up being ice cream since we live in south Texas! Then we read read “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas” and put the children in bed. Then my husband and I stay up late and get all of the Christmas presents ready for Christmas morning. I love watching my children come down the stairs on Christmas morning to see all of their Santa surprises!

So many favorite traditions! Christmas Eve service, sleeping in the same room as my sister, oyster stew (yuck!) Christmas morning, everyone opening gifts one at a time, driving around looking at Christmas lights, rushing to grandparents’ houses… With my own family, we have started the tradition of baking Jesus a birthday cake Christmas Eve and wearing matching pajamas Christmas morning! Can’t wait to start more traditions as my kids get older!

My grandmother used to make homemade gingerbread houses for my siblings and I. She put the whole kit together and then brought them over for an afternoon of building our dream gingerbread houses! Those are my favorite holiday memories. Time spent with siblings and my grandparents – sweet and simple (with tons of yummy gingerbread and candy ;)). Now, my mom makes the homemade gingerbread and it will be my daughters first experience with this tradition this year. We can’t wait!

My favorite tradition has always been baking goodies during the holiday season. There are some things that we only have at Christmas time, like fudge, sugar cookies, and buckeyes, and I have always enjoyed being in the kitchen with my family making the yummy treats while listening to Christmas music.

It’s hard to pick just one Christmas tradition! I love baking a birthday cake on Christmas Eve to celebrate the birth of Christ. We have the cake for dessert after Christmas Eve dinner and it’s a fun way to remember the reason for the season:)

One of my favorite Christmas traditions used to be with my kinders/firsties. On the last day before Christmas break, we would wear our jammies to school, eat Christmas cookies and popcorn, drink hot chocolate, and watch The Polar Express. Now that I have a child of my own, a new Christmas tradition my little family is looking forward to is The North Pole Express at our local railroad museum. We are so looking forward to making memories with our daughter and can’t wait for her to experience the magic of a train ride with Santa!

Favorite tradition is probably our whole family’s untraditional Christmas Eve dinner and get together. We chow down on yummy enchiladas, rice, beans, chips and dips and of course margaritas! Also the kids get an early present and get new Christmas pjs to wear that night and on Christmas Day!

My husband’s family is German and so we celebrate the night of St Nicklaus and leave our boots out for his visit every December 5th. It’s such a fun and different tradition to do with our kids to help them celebrate their heritage and the spirit of the holidays.

Our neighborhood places live trees in our front yards at Christmastime. Decorated in white twinkling lights, these are so beautiful to see lit all in a row when you drive from house to house. One of our favorite traditions is decorating the tree with white lights when it (almost magically) arrives in our yard the week of thanksgiving. Such a fun kickoff to the holiday season!

My favorite tradition is driving to the mountains to cut down our very own christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving! We started doing it a few years ago and this will be the first year we bring our daughter along for the ride. Can’t wait!

My grandma made my girls a angel advent quilt. Every year the girls Wake up and get their letter out of the pocket and do something for someone in need, like giving to Salvation Army, angel tree gifts, finding a kind thing to do that day for someone else. It is so special to watch!

We always opened up gifts from each other on Christmas Eve. To figure out who gets to start, my parents would hide a pickle ornament in the tree. Whoever found that ornament First got to open the first gift!

Christmas is always the most joyful time of year for me because of so much family time! I’m especially excited this year to share traditions with my son for his first Christmas. From pulling out decorations while watching Miracle on 34th Street, visiting the Legendary Santa, baking cookies for Santa, and my favorite tradition – the stockings. My Mom had the most beautiful stockings for all of us that she made herself. When my husband & I got married we chose stockings to bring into our home and continue the tradition…and we bought extras for our future children. I’m excited to see my son’s hung on the chimney with care this year and can fantasize about his own beautiful, Christmas memories.

My favorite Christmas tradition has always been looking at all the beautifully decorated homes covered in lights. As a child, I would always look forward to my sisters and I sleeping in the same room on Christmas Eve, waiting for Santa to arrive. We shared so many laughs and created great memories!

My babies are young, 5, 3, and 7 months so we are just beginning our Christmas traditions. My favorite right now would have to be baking our gingerbread house from scratch and decorating it together. I hope the smell of molasses and cinnamon will always bring back fond memories of their childhood Christmases for them!

We always attended Christmas Eve mass as a family then came home to enjoy a few treats & get ready for Santa’s arrival. Every Christmas Eve we were to open one present which was always Christmas PJ’s. We have carried in this tradition with our children!

A favorite holiday tradition is taking my oldest to see the Nutcracker, a date day out, just her and Mommy. I can remember the magic of going to see the play as a child with my mom, an annual tradition to get dressed up, eat somewhere fancy and attend the play. And now my older can appreciate the magic and continue this annual tradition.

I have SO many favorite Christmas traditions but one that sticks out to me is picking out a Christmas ornament for our tree, and decorating our tree as a family while Christmas music plays and we bake cookies! I also love sharing the story of Jesus with our little one with an advent book we bought her for her first Christmas, she is four now and enjoys hanging the small books on the tree!
