Happy Halloween! It's hard to believe tomorrow is November 1st. Crazy!
One of my sweet customers posted this picture on Instagram last week, and her caption made me LOL.
Here's what she wrote, "Let's get the boys cute little matching pumpkin duds and we can get the cutest pictures of them at the pumpkin patch! Or not. Maybe next year, boys?" Katelyn, they are adorable! Thank you for allowing me to share.
I'm guessing every mom out there can relate to this. We plan in our minds just how great the pictures are going to be....and then reality sets in and no one wants to cooperate! Not to discourage any of you, but 3 of my 4 children are teenagers, and they still refuse to cooperate at least 50% of the time! #justholdstillandsmile #itsnotthathard
So what I'd like to say to all of us is that it's okay. Look at Katelyn's picture. They *are* dressed in cute matching pumpkin duds, and a memory *was* made. Maybe not her original vision, but a sweet memory just the same. These days are fleeting. So, I encourage you, keep dressing them up and taking pictures. I suspect, in the end, the most "imperfect" pictures are likely to bring the most joy because they represent real life. And, it's those everyday, imperfect moments, that make us who we are.
